Travelling home for the weekend

Drawing people whilst sat on waiting for a train is fun, I especially loved the sassy guy holding his girlfriend's handbag and the elderly fella in his anorak, comb-over and bag hanging off one arm who posed for ages reading (both sides of) the timetable board right in front of me :-)

Zebra, Zebra, Zebra, Ostrich, Lemur, Zebra, Zebra

Second trip to Marwell!
I think it's apparent which animal I spent most of my time drawing..

Which was great, I love zebras, looking forward to the animal attitude walk now!

Sun & Longboards

Today was one of the nicest days of the year so far, so my house mate and I decided to go on a wander around the neighbourhood to find the perfect long-boarding spot.. After a fair walk it turns out the perfect spot is in fact right outside our house.

Had some fun sketching her as she practiced :-)

Sketchbook Tingzz.

(From my A5 travel sketchbook)
People waiting on platforms are the perfect subjects for drawing, and since humans are a serious weakness of mine, drawing randomers is great:

I have a major thing for drawing trees, that's been apparent in most of my sketchbooks since college. Even more so when they're often the most common sight on my train journeys home. Whether or not the sketches below look like trees is debatable but I'm rather fond of using a bamboo dip pen to create quick scratchy forests.

One of my studies from our uni trip to the Victoria & Albert Museum, London - There were a lot of human figures in that sculpture!
